ATi Radeon HD3450 driver problem
On my openSUSE 11.0/KDE 3.5 system I installed the ATi driver from the ATI Repository to get a PNY Radeon HD3450 PCIe graphic card working. However, this driver made Google Earth hang on start and consequently crashed the whole KDE session. Repeatedly & version independent. Running OpenSUSE 10.3 KDE Edition 32-Bit: I've just installed the ATI Driver using the 1 click install and sax2 reports that 3d acceleration is not possible. I then notice that my Monitor is detected as ATI and my Graphics card is detected as Vesa Framebuffer Graphics. OpenGL problem with ATI Radeon (ATI Radeon X600 card) dual monitors
I have dell optiplex gx620 computer with ATI Radeon x600 graphics card and two HP LP2065 monitors connected through a dual-dvi port. I have set up two monitors DVI-1 right of DVI-0. I cannot use OpenGL rendering if i choose to use dual head (one right of other) but can use it if both heads are displaying same (unify view in KDE).. I use Xrender to enable basic compositing, which works with dual head (one right of other) setup. While I use xrender it displays fine but cannot use opengl. Recently I'd installed openSUSE 11.2, and i wanted to install ati drivers for my card(radeon x1950 pro). Like in faq(Installing ati drivers) i downloaded drivers, then installed packages i need. I have a computer with an integrated graphics card. It is ati radeon xpress 200 series. It have installed OpenSuse 11.1 on my computer with KDE 4.1. Hi guys. I'm new to OpenSuse. Just installed it in my laptop.. Overall a great distro, i'm just getting trouble with some video aspects. I'm currently using the open-source radeon drivers. However, I can't activate desktop effects (ok..) and video playback looks choppy (sucks, i get like 3 fps). I've already tried some solutions, like installing fglrx driver (which makes my X system buggy) and trying to manually enabling DRI in xorg.conf (which didn't work :( dunno why). Hello I have just bought a Dell Inspiron 5010 laptop with an ATI Radeon hd 4250 graphics card. I have Opensuse 11.4 installed and tried to install the fglrx drivers with no success. I've followed the instructions on 'SDB:ATI drivers - openSUSE' (http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:ATI_drivers). Hi All, I fresh installed suse11.1 32bit. and installed the official driver by: 1. Download latest 8.12 driver from official site 2. generate rpm package and install the rpm 3. sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx or aticonfig --initial (both tried) Those steps were successful, but whenever I restart my PC and try to use the fglrx driver.
