  • Max Creation Graph (MCG) now supports animation controllers. The support for controllers do not currently support localization.

  • When using preset animation on TextPlus the playback may be out of order or offset, regardless of playback type. This can be corrected by switching to Separate By Object to Character, Word, Line or Paragraph, and back again.

  • When selecting controllers to offset in a animation preset, selecting both the parent controller and the child controller will cause the offsetting to be offset multiple times. In order to get a predictable result only select the parent or the child. For example, if you animate the position of an object you can select the transform, or select the individual axis. Do not select both.

  • Using parameter names in the Max Creation Graph (MCG) that are reserved words in MAXScript (e.g. name, color, etc.) will result in an error. Please rename your parameter to avoid this issue.

  • The coordinate systems used in MaxPlus (used by MCG) and 3ds Max (used by controllers) are different; the most noticeable effect of this is that you will need to use QuaternionInvert before output when creating rotation controllers to get the output you are likely to expect.

The following list contains issues fixed in this release (Service Pack 2 contains all previous Service Pack fixes for 3ds Max 2016).
